Bulk Cargo
Supervision of liquid bulk cargo loading and discharge operations, covering loading and discharge quantity observations, cargo condition at loading and discharging, sampling requirements and relevant operational activities within the scope of the assignment. Relevant cargoes: Crude oil, petroleum products, edible oils, non-edible oils and other liquid bulk cargoes
Where sampling is not included within the scope of a loading/discharge supervision assignment, it is available as a separate Testing & Sampling engagement.
General & Project Cargo
Project Cargo Surveys
Independent inspection and supervision of project cargo, including heavy and specialized equipment, covering cargo condition, quantity, handling activities and relevant loading, discharge or securing arrangements within the scope of the assignment.
Breakbulk Cargo Surveys
Inspection and documentation of breakbulk and general packaged cargo during loading, discharge or handling, covering quantity, cargo condition, handling activities and any visible damage or irregularities observed during the assignment.
Steel Cargo Surveys
Inspection of steel cargo, including pipes and related steel products, to document quantity, condition, handling activities and any visible damage or other relevant irregularities.
Cargo Condition & Quantity
Independent assessment of cargo condition and damage, including breakage, leakage, wet damage, contamination, deterioration, packaging damage and handling related damage, with relevant observations documented before, during or after cargo operations. Scope may include Cargo condition surveys, cargo damage surveys, physical damage assessment, leakage and wet damage, contamination and deterioration, packaging damage, handling-related damage, pre-loading condition, post-discharge condition and bulk or packaged cargo inspections.
Quantity & Verification
Measurement and calculation of vessel draughts before and after cargo operations to determine the quantity of bulk cargo loaded or discharged, with relevant measurements and observations documented as part of the survey.
Handling & Security
Lashing & Securing Inspection
Inspection of cargo lashing and securing arrangements to document their condition, adequacy and relevant observations within the scope of the assignment.
Documentation & Dispute Support
Bill of Lading & Mate's Receipt Clausing Advice
Advice on relevant remarks or Clausing of Mate's Receipts and Bills of Lading based on cargo condition and quantity observed during the survey.
Letter of Protest Support
Assistance with the preparation or documentation of Letters of Protest where operational or contractual irregularities are observed during the assignment.
